— Development Plan
Plan the Project Before Construction
The Development Plan is SKB's detailed preconstruction phase. We measure the space, define the scope, coordinate selections and project requirements, and develop the information needed for final pricing and construction.
Finalized scopes are developed from measured quantities, defined selections, and task-level labor planning rather than broad allowances or rough square-foot guesses. Our goal is to define as much of the project as possible before construction begins so pricing, expectations, and responsibilities are clearer.
What the Development Plan includes
- Existing-condition documentation
- Measured quantities
- Scope development
- Selections and fixture schedules
- Cabinetry coordination
- Renderings where applicable
- Labor planning
- Material planning and procurement requirements
- Construction sequencing
- Final proposal development
Where changes come from
Even with thorough planning, legitimate changes can arise from homeowner-requested scope changes, concealed conditions, structural discoveries, code requirements, or unknown existing conditions. Defining the project upfront keeps those exceptions the exception — not the rule.
